My name is Tina and I'm a mature 26 year old activist who is a residential treatment counselor at a group home and a youth program coordinator for a LGBT center. I live in Hayward, California (East Bay Area). I live with my partner, Rachel.

I graduated from California State University Hayward (now known as California State University, East Bay-- CSUEB) in 2005 with a BA in Social Justice and I am a community organizer who helps youth fight oppression through activism. I am currently a BA candidate in Ethnic Studies with an option in Gender and Sexualities of Color at CSUEB. I am involved in several student organizations at CSUEB including: Alliance for Social Justice (which I started in 2003), the Queer/Straight Alliance, Feminist Majority, and the Ethnic Studies Academic Society.

I am loud, opinionated (although I have an open and critical mind), spunky, witty, geeky, compassionate/passionate, down to earth and weird.

I'm on the voluptuous side.. 5'2 and wear cute little glasses. I'm Italian-German American with shoulder length brown hair and hazel eyes.

I enjoy movies that make you think (real life dramas, indies, black comedies), radical politics and activism, reading, alternative music, intellectual conversations and I like to dance on occasion. ;o)

I am a Democratic Socialist who belongs to the Socialist Party USA and Peace and Freedom Party of California. I am radical politically and I am a queer feminist who is
anti-racist/sexist/homophobic/heterosexist as well as fat positive and for gender fluidity. Oh and I am also against capitalism (duh). So I fight for civil/human rights and the rights of all oppressed people in general including the right to live in a fair and safe livable and sustainable world.

Spiritually speaking, lately I've been just saying I'm agnostic. I am against organized religion since it's often manipulative and controlling and into fear and hate not love and acceptance. I mostly find spiritual connection while working with other people for social justice.


I am in a committed monogamous relationship with my partner, Rachel, so I am looking for friends. I value someone who is intellectual, has tons of personality, is positive and passionate about life, laughs at "inappropriate topics" and is compassionate.

I am not big into "partying" and don't smoke, do drugs or drink. If you'd rather deal with real life then escape, you are my kinda person. Natural highs are the best kind... especially affection and love and chocolate..hehe :o)
